Eu, Lisa Mansel e o Punjabi ou A universalidade de um escrito.

Durante esta semana, estive pensando nessa coisa de “escrita universal”. O que é isso? No meu humilde entender, é a escrita compreensível a uma grande variedade de pessoas de diversas nacionalidades. É quando sua escrita atinge indivíduos de culturas diferentes da sua. Esse fato em especial, - houve outros -, me proporcionou uma grande satisfação pelo fato de advir de uma discussão entre estudantes de cinema de uma instituição de ensino, não do Brasil, nem dos Estates, ou até mesmo da América Latina, mas no Paquistão. É isso aí, estudantes do Punjabi. Por isso, decidi dividir o conteúdo do email de um dos estudantes envolvidos na discussão. Fiquem tranqüilos, pois ele me permitiu publicar o conteúdo - como vocês poderão constatar- , com todos que por aqui passam. Aqui está:

Dear Mr Cordeiro,

I am a student of film making in University of Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. I came across your script "Flowers To Lisa Mansel" it is a beautiful short script. I was having a discussion about it with my friend but we came to a hault according to me the script takes place in atleast two different days one when he gets up takes shower buys bouquet and goes to the graveyard
and the other day when he is walking in street, buys flower and goes to Lisa Mansel's Place and then there is also a flash back of a previous incident with Lisa Mansel

My Friend disagrees and says its the same day and the girl on the door receiving flowers is not actually Lisa Mansel, Malcolm realizes at that moment that she had died and than buys the flower again and goes to graveyard.

Can you please clarify our confusion we will highly appreciate it. your contribution can help us become good filmmakers.
